Day 01 LIMA
Arrival in Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon visit to Colonial and Modern Lima. Guided tour through the historic center of the city. Admire the beauty of San Martin and Major squares, the Cathedral, the Government Palace and visit the Convent of San Francisco and its catacombs Convent, a religious building from the end of the XVI century. Also drive through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores.
Day 02 LIMA – ICA – NASCA
Transfer to the bus station to take the tourist bus to Ica. Upon arrival, visit to the city including the Regional Museum of Ica, housing a great collection of fossils, mummies, Paracas mantles, Nasca ceramics, and Colonial and Republican art pieces, the Lagoon of Huacachina and a winery where you will be able to observe the process of Pisco-making, the typical Peruvian drink and ingredient of the famous Pisco Sour. Afternoon transfer to your hotel in Nasca. (Breakfast).
Day 03 NASCA – PARACAS
Morning flight over the Nasca Lines. It is an area of approximately 500-km/310 ml of Pampa, where the mysterious lines were discovered in 1927. The real dimension of these lines can be fully appreciated by air. They represent diverse animal figures, as a spider, a monkey, a dog, a lizard, a humming bird, and a condor. The dimensions of these figures vary from 15 to 300 m/50 to 1,000 ft. high each. Continue with Archaeological tour of Nasca including Chauchilla Pre-Inca cemetery. You will also appreciate the process of artisan gold extraction. Transfer to your hotel in Paracas Bay. (Breakfast).
Day 04 PARACAS – LIMA
Morning cruise to the Ballestas Islands, where you will see sea lions, penguins, and more than 60 species of sea birds. You will also see the huge “Candelabrum” drawn in a sand slope. Return by tourist bus to Lima and transfer to hotel. (Breakfast).
Day 05 LIMA – CUSCO
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Balance of the morning at leisure to adjust to the high altitude (11,000 feet). Afternoon city tour and nearby ruins. Visit Main Square, the Cathedral and its religious Art Museum, the Church of Santo Domingo or Koricancha. Includes visits to Sacsayhuaman and Puca Pucara fortresses, the temple and amphitheater of Kenko and the water shrine of Tambomachay. (Breakfast).
Day 06 CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU
Transfer to the station for a morning train ride to the unparalleled, Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”. Machu Picchu was a flourishing ceremonial and agricultural site, probably the gateway to the jungle marches of the Inca Empire. The central buildings were erected with the polished stonework of the Cusco Imperial style, though the site was probably occupied well before the Incas started their expansion. Machu Picchu was associated with the earth cult revolving around the Coca leaf, which was a privilege restricted to the Inca Royal family and priests. Guided tour. You will have time to enjoy a light lunch or snack and return to your hotel at your leisure. In the evening, we will enjoy a wonderful dinner at the hotel or in Machu Picchu Pueblo. Overnight at one of the hotels in the area.

Day 07 MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Morning at leisure. You may choose to return to Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu or relax in the village of Aguas Calientes and its hot springs. Mid afternoon departure by train to Cusco. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast).
Note: Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu on this day are not included. Please advise if you go back to the ruins or hike the Wayna Picchu at time of booking (subject to availability)
Day 08 CUSCO- PUERTO MALDONADO-POSADA AMAZONAS

Welcome to Tambopata!
Arrive in Puerto Maldonado, the capital of Madre de Dios, after a one-hour road trip, we will take a peaceful one-hour boat ride along the Tambopata River, immersing ourselves in the heart of the private communal reserve of the Ese Eja Native Community of Infierno.
Enjoy your first taste of Amazon cuisine while cruising along the river, leaving the city behind, and entering the lush jungle landscapes. Upon arriving at the riverbank, you will climb a staircase whose length varies with the season, followed by a short walk through the vibrant Amazon rainforest. This journey marks the beginning of your stay, surrounding you with the majesty of the Amazon.
• What to expect at Posada Amazonas? – Strategically built in the heart of the private reserve of the Native Community of Infierno, as guardians of the forest, you will find this beautiful Posada Amazonas lodge, which has all the amenities such as a bar, massage room, and service dining room, to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
• What is included in the accommodation? – A 45 m2 room, with mosquito nets over the beds, a private bathroom, and a window open to the forest, maximizes contact with nature.
• What is included during your stay? – Three daily meals, teas, coffee, activities and guided excursions, welcome drink upon arrival at the hostel, transfers to and from the airport. Guides are assigned in a ratio of 10: 1
• A half-hour walk from the lodge takes us to the 42-meter-high canopy tower a staircase with railings will provide us with safe access to the top of the tower, from which we can contemplate the impressive forest of the National Reserve of Tambopata. From the top, it is also possible to observe different species of birds such as toucans, macaws, raptors among other species.

Day 09 AT POSADA AMAZONAS A LA CARTE SUGGESTED TOURS
• In the Amazon, we take advantage of the first lights of the day, which is when there is more wildlife activity, even if you are on vacation, our guides will encourage you to get up very early to embark on the adventure!
• Lake Tres Chimbadas, thirty minutes by boat and forty-five minutes from Posada Amazonas, is an expedition that you should not miss! We will sail on a catamaran in search of wildlife such as the hoatzin or Shansho who is said to be a prehistoric bird! Alligators, the kingfisher among other species, if we are lucky we will be able to observe a family of giant river wolves that inhabit its waters (seen by 60% of visitors to the lake).
• Very close to the lodge there is a hiding place that allows us to observe the parrot clay; from about twenty meters away, where dozens of parrots and parakeets descend almost every morning to eat clay, which provides them with the precious sodium they need for their digestion.
• Centro Ñape Communal organization that produces natural medicine with forest plants, has a small medical center where they are administered to local people. You can walk the trails where the different plants and their healing properties are shown and explained.
• You will have the opportunity of a night walk in the middle of the forest, it is incredible the number of different sounds that can be heard in nature at this time of day. Many mammals are active at this time but are rarely seen. Much easier to find are the tiny frogs.
Day 10 AT POSADA AMAZONAS A LA CARTE SUGGESTED TOURS
• Discover Amazing Tropical Plants: At the jungle farm, you’ll get to find out how your favorite tropical foods are grown and you’ll discover entirely new foods! Farmers will explain how and why they organically grow a great variety of crops. Finally, you get to see, smell, touch, and taste fruits you’ve never even heard of, like Copuazu, “Fish-eye” Chilis, and Cocona.
• Traditional kitchen Ese Eja. Patarascha is a traditional dish of the native Amazonian communities. It is about cooking the fish in a bijao leaf (plantain family) seasoned with local elements such as sachaculantro. Through this culinary experience, you will be able to know, touch, smell, and learn to prepare a traditional dish with local elements.
• Ceiba Trees are miraculous in every way. The trees’ softwood protects them from loggers, who look for more durable wood types, and Ceibas’ fast growth rate helps them rise to immense proportions. As you’ll see, this tree’s buttressed root system stretches so far, it would take 50 people holding hands to encircle it! When you arrive at the massive tree, you’ll discover Ceiba’s historical and spiritual significance for native peoples throughout the Amazon
Day 11 POSADA AMAZONAS-CUSCO OR LIMA
• Our expedition came to an end. It’s time to say goodbye! We will return to the airport for your domestic flight.
• Thank you for your visit. It contributes directly to the effort made by the Native Community of Infierno to sustainably protect their lands in Tambopata.
Day 12 LIMA – HOME
Transfer to the airport for your international departure flight or continue on the extension of your choice. (Breakfast).
