LLANGANUCO

Early departure to Yungay, completely destroyed by an earthquake and avalanche in 1970. Then proceed up to the emerald green Llanganuco Lagoons, located between the snow-covered peaks of the Huascaran and the Huandoy lagoons. Box lunch included.

CHAVIN DE HUANTAR

This archaeological site is located in the Conchucos Valley and is considered the oldest ceremonial center in ancient Peru. The famed “Cabezas Clavas” and the “Lanzon” belong to this culture and were found in the underground galleries. Box lunch included.

SECHIN

5 km to the south east of the city of Casma (on the coast some 3 hours from Huaraz).
An impressive archaeological site of great antiquity: 1800 – 800 B.C., its stone walls are carved with decapitated and wounded figures thought to represent prisoners of war.
