19 DAYS: SANTIAGO-ATACAMA-PUERTO VARAS- PUERTO NATALES-PATAGONIA-VINA DEL MAR- EASTER ISLANDS OR RAPA NUI

DAY 1: SANTIAGO DE CHILE                     

Arrival in Santiago de Chile. Transfer from the hotel. After a short rest, we will go to explore the cosmopolitan city of Santiago. We will see: Plaza de Armas, a famous square in the heart of Santiago, the historic Cathedral, the Post Office building, as well as the La Moneda Palace. We will go to a small, hidden in the center the Paris-London district with the historic San Francisco church. And at the end of our trip, we will take the cable car to the top of the 850 m San Cristobal hill with a beautiful panorama of the city and the Andes. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 DAY 2: CANYON DEL MAIPO                     

Early in the morning, after breakfast we will go on a trip to Canyon del Maipo – a canyon located in the southeastern part of the Andes metropolitan region. During the trip, we will visit the colonial-style town of San José de Maipo. Then we continue the trip to the majestic Andean Mountain range. On the way we will see Refugio Militar – abandoned military shelters, and then we will reach Embalse del Yeso 2500m above sea level. – Yeso Reservoir a viewpoint of the majestic Andes with an impressive landscape. Turquoise waters and amazing mountains make this place a real wonder of nature. In this place, the time will be made more pleasant by a glass of Chilean wine. Return to Santiago for overnight stay.

 DAY 3: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – VALLE DE LA LUNA                  

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Calama. Upon arrival, transport to San Pedro de Atacama 110 km, approximately 1h30min, on the way we will admire the panorama of the Salar de Atacama and the Andes Mountain range. Arrival at the hotel. After a short break, we will go on a trip to the Valle de La Luna Moon Valley, enchanting with its otherworldly landscape. Return to the hotel.

 DAY 4:  ATACAMA DESERT              

In the morning we will go on a day trip into the Atacama Desert. First, we will go to the Laguna Chaxa flamingo reserve, which is located in the Salar de Atacama terrane 2300-2500m, where we will have a break for a picnic breakfast and coca leaf tea. Then we will go to the town of Socaire, then towards Piedras Rojas until we reach Laguna MiscantiI Meñiques at an altitude of 4200m above sea level. A break for a picnic lunch here. We continue our return journey. Picnic lunch included                          

DAY 5: EL TATIO GEISER – SANTIAGO DE CHILE                  

Early in the morning around 05:00 we will go on a trip to El Tatio Geyser 4320m above sea level. – the third largest geyser field in the world. At dawn, the temperature in the geothermal field in the summer is often negative, which gives you the opportunity to admire the extraordinary spectacle of steam coming out of the geysers, making the area look like a landscape of an alien planet. Breakfast break in an unearthly scenery. Then we will go to the geothermal field where you can take a thermal bath. We continue the journey passing the Putana area where we can see the fauna of the region and the last stop is the village of Machuca at 4000 m above sea level. After returning to the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Santiago. Upon arrival in the capital, transfer to the hotel. Picnic breakfast

DAY 6: SANTIAGO DE CHILE – PUERTO VARAS            

After breakfast, we will fly to Puerto Montt. Upon arrival, we will drive to the charming Puerto Varas. After check-in, free time to explore the town on your own and admire Llanquihue Lake and the beautiful view of the Osorno Volcano.

DAY 7: PARK NARODOWY ALERCE ANDINO TREKKING  1

Today we will go on a trekking trip to the Alerce Andino National Park, established in 1982 and part of the Southern Andes Temperate Rainforest Biosphere Reserve, located 1.5 hours from the city of Puerto Varas. Our tour will be dominated by a forest consisting of larch, evergreen, coigüe de Magallanes and lenga. And among the mammals that, with a bit of luck, we might be able to see, we will find a pudu, a gray fox and a chingue, and maybe a puma, guinea or mountain monkey living in these areas! In the sky, in the treetops and steep walls of the Andean massif, you can see the condor, black woodpecker, huet huet, kingfisher, peuco, caiquén, cachudito and torcaza, and in its countless lakes the native fish “percatrucha”. The total route will be almost 8 kilometers to Laguna Triangulo and return along the same path (maximum altitude 551m and about 6-8 hours round trip). One of the main goals will be to discover one of the oldest species on Earth: Larch or Lahuen, which will begin to gain height and size as our tour starts, some specimens reaching over 60 meters and 2600 years old!

DAY 8: NATIONAL PARK VINCENTE PÉREZ ROSALES – TREKKING VOLCANO OSORNO                   

Located in the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, the Osorno volcano allows you to admire the mountains from a great location. Slightly west of the Andean Mountain range, the volcano divides the waters of Todos Los Santos and Llanquihue lakes, shapes a turquoise river and was responsible for creating the Petrohue Falls. Early in the morning we will go hiking to the glacier starting an hour before sunrise (when the weather is good) to see the first light of the day in the mountains. A show of orange colors and projected silhouettes or fleeting clouds and Patagonian winds that will charge us and push us to 2,000m to meet the glacier and, when the conditions are favorable, take a walk on it. However, when the weather forecast shows snow and rain, trekking changes the goal from admiring the panorama of Lake Llanquihue and the majesty of the volcano to experiencing mountain trekking in adverse conditions. Feel the wind and push your own limits, knowing that we will have several places to protect and rest, and a cozy shelter where we can take off our wet clothes and have a warm drink. DAY 9: PUERTO MONTT – PUNTA ARENAS – ISLA MAGDALENA-PUERTO NATALES                                          

In the morning we will fly further south to wild and windswept Patagonia. After arriving in Punta Arenas, we will go to the center and the tourist port from where we will sail by catamaran to the Magellanic Penguin colony on Magdalena Island in the Strait of Magellan. After returning to the mainland, we continue our journey towards Puerto Natales, a city located on the famous Bay of Last Hope “Ultima Esperanza”, which is the gateway to the magnificent Torres del Paine National Park. Overnight stay at a hotel.

DAY 10: NATIONAL PARK TORRES DEL PAINE                       

After breakfast, we will go on a day trip to the most beautiful mountain national park of the South American continent – Torres del Paine. It is a national park that has been entered on the UNESCO list, and according to National Geographic, it is the fifth most beautiful place in the world. Called the eighth Wonder of Nature, it delights every visitor. During the trip we will visit places such as Cueva del Milodon – caves famous for the discovery of the remains of the extinct giant sloth Mylodon Darwini. A viewpoint on the beautiful lake Lago Nordenskjold, Lago Gray with ice blocks floating on its surface. Here we will go trekking to the viewpoint of the Gray Glacier. We will stop at the viewpoint on Lago Pehoe overlooking the majestic Cuernos del Paines and Paine Grande Mountain. Finally, we will visit the Cascada Paine waterfall. Return to Puerto Natales. Overnight stay at a hotel. BOX Lunch included

DAY 11: BASE LAS TORRES                                          

Today we will face a demanding trail worthy of its reputation to one of the most important places in the Torres del Paine National Park – Base las Torres. We will start our uphill journey from Hosteria las Torres. We will overcome Valle Ascencio and cross the Ascencio River. Panoramic views of the pampa, lakes and the valley itself will reward us with a 2.5-kilometre walk up the gusty wind. The trail then descends to Refugio El Chileno. The vegetation here corresponds to the Pre-Andean matorral, then quickly changes to forest. The last step is the hardest. It runs 0.8 km, takes about 45 minutes and takes you to the Las Torres viewpoint of three giant granite towers. After a rest, return towards Hosteria Las Torres and return to Puerto Natales.

DAY 12: NAVIGATION BALMACEDA & SERRANO

In the morning we will go on a cruise to the Ultima Esperanza fjords at the foot of the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers located in the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. First, we will reach Monte Balmaceda and the glacier, from where we continue to Puerto Toro. We disembark and make a short trek through the forest until we reach the wall of the Serrano Glacier. After returning to the boat, we will enjoy a unique aperitif made of glacier ice. Return to Puerto Natales. Free time. Overnight stay at a hotel. Box lunch included

DAY 13: PUNTA ARENAS – VIÑA DEL MAR         

After breakfast, transfer to Punta Arenas airport for the return flight to Santiago, Chile. Upon arrival, we will continue to the Ocean to the Pacific resort – Viña del Mar. Hotel accommodation. Free time.

DAY 14: VALPARAISO – SANTIAGO DE CHILE

After breakfast, we will go on a trip to picturesque Valparaiso. whose historic districts have been inscribed on the UNESCO list. We will go for a walk on one of the most interesting hills of Valparaiso Cerro Alegre, and we will also use the famous elevator. Then we will go to the historic Plaza Sotomayor with access to the port. On the way back we will visit the Casas del Bosque vineyards where we will see the wine production process and participate in wine tasting. Overnight at a hotel in Santiago.

DAY 15: SANTIAGO DE CHILE- RAPA NUI        

On this day, the clients that does not fly to Easter Island goes to Santiago airport for the return flight home. People who have previously declared their willingness to fly to Easter Island continue their journey. Flight to Easter Island. Traditional welcome at the airport, transfer to the hotel, time to rest.

DAY 16: RAPA NUI NATIONAL PARK                           

After breakfast, we will go on a full-day trip during which we will see the most important and interesting places in the south-west of the island. We will visit, among others: Ahu Akivi – sculptures of Moai looking towards the ocean, Puna Pau – a small volcano where the red scoria stone was mined for Moai sculptures, Tahai – a village of famous constructors, Orongo – a ceremonial village dedicated to the cult of the bird-man. After this first exploration of the island, we will head back to the hotel. Box lunch included

DAY 17: RAPA NUI NATIONAL PARK                                     

After breakfast, we depart towards the south coast and east side of the island for a tour during which we will admire the work of the ancient Rapa Nui society – an extremely advanced level of megalith engineering. We will visit unique places min. Hanga Poukura – a beautiful coast with interesting rock formations of volcanic origin and an unusual phenomenon called Blowhole, Rano Raku – a volcano area that has been transformed into a megalith factory, Ahu Tongariki – the largest and most impressive monument of Rapa Nui – 15 mighty Moais. Back to the hotel, free time. Box lunch included

 DAY 18: RAPA NUI – SANTIAGO DE CHILE                 

After breakfast, it’s time for the last souvenirs and goodbye to the Polynesian island. Transfer to the airport with the traditional farewell and return flight to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel in Santiago. Overnight stay at a hotel.

DAY 19: SANTIAGO DE CHILE-FLIGHT HOME

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
